Spurs and Fenerbahce target Belhanda 'may' miss Afcon

Morocco coach Rachid Taoussi is still in shock after Montpellier’s Younes Belhanda injured himself during a training session in South Africa.

The Federation of Royal Moroccan Football has announced that the midfielder could miss the Nations Cup.

The Moroccan FA revealed that the Montpellier’s player tore a muscle in team training and will have medical test to ascertain if he can stay with the Lions or return home.

Belhanda injury is not the first one for the Atlas Lions, after Liverpool’s Oussama Assaidi suffered the same fate in the Moroccan camp.

The North African team will play in group A with Angola, Cape Verde and the hosts South Africa and will open their drive for the cup with Angola on January 19.
