The Cameroon international is currently playing for big spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala but, seemingly finding too much time on his hands, has decided to tell the story of his rise from humble beginnings to being one of the highest paid sportsman in the world.
Eto’o who moved to Russia from Inter Milan in August 2011 earns around £17million a year but is keen for fans to learn a little more about his rise to the top.
Describing his new venture Eto’o said: ‘I wanted to share my experience with young people. Samuel Eto’o wasn’t always the billionaire that many people present him as. Behind all that there was a lot of hard work, and it’s that work that I want to highlight.’
Eto’s first mag, which is written in French, will tell the story of his childhood selling fish on the streets of Douala and goes on sale, in France, at the end of the month.
