Montpellier president Louis Nicolin has hit out at Fenerbahce target Younes Belhanda

Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has launched a scathing attack on Moroccan Younes Belhanda, as he look set to leave the club this month.

Belhanda looks set for a move to Fenerbahce but Nicollin has questioned the motive behind the deal and his prospective new employers in Turkey.

"Apart from Turkey I do not know who wants (him), but Turkey is complicated," he told L'Equipe.

"I'll only sell my players to English and German clubs.

"Belhanda and Mapou, it was set in their heads what they wanted. Do I want them now? No. They showed a lack of professionalism, which is evident in view of the wages they were seeking."

Meanwhile, Fenerbache's vice-president Abdullah Kigili says his side have now agreed personal terms and only need to negotiate a transfer fee for the winger, but is hopeful of completing a deal.

"They've reduced their original price to €10m [£8.4m] but we've offered them €8m [£6.7m]. We have an agreement with the player himself, now we just have to wait for Montpellier to accept our offer," he told AA.
