Lagos state cash reward for Nigeria Super Eagles

Nigeria's Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad have been rewarded with cash gifts by Lagos state governor Babatunde Fashola.

Coach Stephen Keshi got 2.5 million Naira ($15,625), his first assistant Daniel Amokachi received 2 million Naira ($12,700), while the remaining assistants got 1.5 million Naira ($9,535) each.

Captain Joseph Yobo was rewarded with 1.5 million Naira ($9,535), while the other players got a million Naira ($6,356) each.

Another 20 million ($127, 121) will be shared among all the other backroom staff of the team, while the supporters’ club got 4.5 million Naira ($28, 602).

The team also received 500,000 Naira for each goal scored at the tournament, totaling 5.5 million Naira ($34, 958).
