Burkina Faso will face Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations final after a 3-2 penalty shootout win over Ghana on Wednesday.
Mubarak Wakaso put Ghana ahead in normal time with a debatable spot-kick, before Aristide Bancé equalised.
The Burkinabe were denied spot-kicks in normal time and in extra-time, when they also had a goal ruled out, and saw Jonathan Pitroipa harshly sent off.
Now they find themselves meeting Nigeria, 4-1 winners over Mali earlier in Durban.
Burkina Faso coach Paul Put:
"The boys have done wonderfully well. No one expected them to get here but they've worked together as a family."
"We all saw what happened with the referee but we never give up. They fought well and deserve the win tonight."
