Agent reveals Fenerbahce interest in Emenike

Emmanuel Emenike's agent has confirmed the striker is attracting interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Nigeria international Emenike could make a dramatic return to Istanbul two years after he joined Fenerbahce but never played for the team.

"Fenerbahçe are in talks with Spartak Moscow," Konyar told Turkish radio station Radyospor.

"Emenike likes Spartak Moscow, but loves Fenerbahçe, if the clubs agree; he would love to return to the club."

His agent also revealed that the lure of Champions League football could be a defining factor to leave Spartak Moscow for Fenerbahce.

Konyar said: "Emenike wants to play Champions League football, he knows the staff at Fenerbahçe well and would like to play for the team.

"However, rumours that he has accepted a €2.5 million per-season deal are false, he earns more here, it's unrealistic to believe that he will leave for a reduced salary.

"But first thing first, the clubs have to agree before we begin player negotiations.

"Spartak signed Emenike for €10 million, it is unlikely that they will let him go for a lower transfer fee."

Nations Cup joint-top scorer Emenike was signed by Fenerbahçe for €9 million in 2011 but was sold to Spartak Moscow for €10 million  - following his suspected involvement in the match-fixing scandal which rocked the country last season.
