Mali beat Niger in Port Elizabeth

A late goal from captain Seydou Keita gave Mali victory over Niger and the first win of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The talisman slotted in with six minutes remaining, after the game looked to be heading for a fourth draw of the finals.

Menas goalkeeper Daouda Kassaly dropped Fousseiny Diawara's cross from the right, leaving Keita to finish.

The win takes Mali to the top of Group B, after Democratic Republic of Congo surprisingly held Ghana to a 2-2 draw in the first part of a double header.
